Meat that has been cut into long pieces, flavoured with spices and dried.
Village Biltong was started as a furlough project in 2021. I took my passion for cooking and creating things and turned it to the production of dried meats.
I love seeing and hearing about people enjoying my product, nothing gives me more of a kick than hearing a positive review (except our handmade Chilli Snapsticks!).
Over the last year I have experimented and refined my unique chilli spice blend, alongside traditional South African recipes into what I think is the perfect iteration of Biltong. I only use the best locally sourced beef and the entire process is overseen by myself, from farm to table the ultimate power, protein snack.
Village Biltong is a high protein snack for anytime of the day, that is not only of the highest quality, but is made with love and dedication to exacting standards. Try it for yourself and see!
Where we are now....
Well it's been a crazy year or so now. I've made more biltong that I care to think about and I've been rewarded with, the Best Food Exhibitor award at the Derbyshire County Show 2022.
