We only use British Beef from certified farmers!
Biltong isn't cooked. Biltong is cured in a vinegar and salt solution to create an environment that prevents the growth of microoganisms. The desired flavour rub is added to the beef before it is air dried to create the ultimate power, protein snack. This method of meat preservation has been around since the 15th century and is still going strong today!
For all allergen and intolerance information please drop us a line at email@example.com or use the message function above and we will be happy to help.
All the different flavours that Village Biltong offer are recipes that we have designed and developed ourselves over time. We start with the Original South African staple of Salt, Pepper and Coriander seeds and then add to that our own in-house rubs. The flavours always start as a little idea and are then tweaked until we achieve what we believe is the tastiest Biltong currently out there! No pre-made packets or pre-made rubs in our kitchen, this is all our own hard word and dedication.
This is currently a small batch operation but this doesn't mean we won't be able to help with bulk orders. For any enquiries regarding large or bulk orders please email firstname.lastname@example.org in good time and we will see if we can help.
If you would like biltong for a specific date such as a birthday or Christmas then just drop us a message! Village Biltong uses no preservatives therefore what you receive is a fresh product, the shelf life will reflect this. We can reserve orders for certain dates or we can vacuum seal which extends the shelf life, please just ask us and we'll make it happen!
Village Biltong is small batch, we hand make every batch, from trimming the silverside to packaging to delivering. The process from butcher to your door takes us around a week so if something is showing as out of stock it's because we're busy getting the next batch smashed out for you all!
